Leg pain. Hot or cold? - hot pains in thigh

Ok, if you have pain in my thighs. They are painful. Work more efficiently, heat or cold compresses. What works faster cure?

Cold compresses are used to restrict blood flow and swelling. Warm compresses are used to increase blood flow to an area that accelerates the healing increase.

I have always heard, never on the hot-spot in the cold sore! This information comes from an ortho doc and physical theropist!

My grandmother says that the heat better, but I'm not sure, I never had any medication for pain in the legs.
