Real Estate in an IRA - can it have a mortgage? - ira real estate
I have an IRA, which is considerable. I thought about using a portion of the IRA to buy real estate in my area that is now 20% undervalued, according to my calculations.
Is it legal or possible that the IRA a mortgage? Lots 20, 30 or 40 percent, then finance the rest, and the IRA is the mortgage payments?
I bet the answer is no. But, if possible, a number of options open to me and has a very attractive option.
