Autumn is usually a time for preparing the garden for the cold weather, but perennials should continue to grow, if you tend to them properly.

An excellent article in the common sense of community to Scott prepare your garden for fall and winter.

Start early. Your best option is to harvest for the winter, such as lettuce, spinach, cabbage, carrots, turnips, and using winter squash. Perform a search on Google for cool-season vegetables and help you to choose from. You can also search the swath. This could be a little more warmth in cooler temperatures.
