Symptoms include short attention are distracted with the diagnosis of a disease Graves' law. (How Disease Graves 'known in Europe, which is toxic goiter) Graves' disease, a term that the most common form of hyperthyroidism, described as an autoimmune basis is to be considered.

In the case of Graves Eye Disease (thyroid), infiltrative ophthalmopathy, different antibodies attack the muscles responsible for eye movements and eyelids. Although the thyroid and the eye itself can be involved by the immune system, it is assumed that the two are independent of each other. The antibodies that attack the eye is sufficient cause inflammation and swelling of the muscles around the eye that can eventually lead to wide-open eyes, double vision and eyelid retraction. In some cases, the muscles can be enlarged up to eight times their normal size and can mimic an orbital tumor. No, you do not have cancer.

Treatment and control of NO hyperthyroidism can improve the appearance of bulging eyesor double vision associated with Graves eye disease. Graves Eye Disease in women aged between 20 and 45 years.

The ocular complications of severe hyperthyroidism is called thyroid optic neuropathy is caused by pressure on the optic nerve, causing vision loss with moderate to severe. Loss of vision can be difficult, leading to a change in perception of color, the complete loss of vision. The treatment should be administered as soon as possible, usually consists of oral steroids.

To the extent that the doctors have already tried prednisone home, do you consider surgery as a subtotal or total thyroidectomy?

If the vision is not improved after the operation is necessary to relieve pressure around the optic nerve to. The surgery involves removing the bone from the deepest point of the orbit, where the pressure on the nerve is the largest. This operation is the orbital decompression.
Another operation is an operation of the eye muscles.

Another treatment option is the use ofPrism glasses to correct double vision.

For Graves ophthalmopathy
These steps can your eyes feel better when you have ophthalmopathy Graves':

Apply cold compresses on the eyes. The added moisture relief for your eyes.

Wear sunglasses. When connect your eyes are more vulnerable to UV rays and light sensitive. The use of sunglasses that the sides of the head wrap, the irritation of the eyes against the wind decreased.

Use lubricating drops as lacrilube.

Height of the head from the bed. Reduction of the large accumulation of fluid in the head, which explains the swelling of the head and relieve headaches and eye pressure could. Headaches can also be caused by eyestrain.

It is a bit old. And I agree with you that the proptosis or exophthalmos, or bulging eyes or in front of the eye movement of the face may help the "disfigurement and to contribute to his own conscience. Double VisioNo loss of color vision can be put out of service and self-limiting. Vital for a woman like you, that is. Embarrassing. I do not blame you.
Remember, the complication of the disease, Graves' or thyroid storm thyroitoxicosis. So try to find a good endocrinologist to help you.
